APPOINTMENTS

Every effort will be made to give all patients an appointment that suits them with their preferred doctor within two working days, should the Doctor be unavailable, another doctor will be recommended. Please inform the receptionist at the time of making the appointment whether a longer consulta-tion is required and whether more than one patient is to be seen. Emergencies will be given priority.

We are happy to see patients without appointments who “drop in” . Patients with appointments will be given priority.

 

Home Visits–Walk in/Phone Consultations

Home visits are available on request for regular patients whose condition prevents them from attending the

 surgery. Times allotted for home visits are at the end of each working day. Please ring 59405245 during surgery hours to make suitable arrangements. The First available doctor will attend to the walk in patient , if it is an EMERGENCY please advise the nurse or the reception staff.

The doctors can take tele-phone calls relating to you and your families health. How-ever, if they are seeing patients when you call a message will be taken and passed on to the doctor who will return your call. In the event of an EMERGENCY calls will be put through to the doctor immediately.

 

After Hours Arrangements

After hours medical advise can be obtained by ringing the after hours Melbourne Locum Service on (03)9429.5677. A fee may be charged. In case of an emergency call 000— or attend your local public hospital.

 

Recall / Reminder system

Our practice participates in national/state or territory reminder system/register- (subject to informed patient consent). We are fully computerised and actively involved in our recall and reminder systems for our patients. If you do not wish to be included in this system please advise staff at reception. Patients are encouraged to make an appointment with their doctor to discuss all results.

Medical Records

If you have a problem, we would like to hear about it. Please feel free to talk to the doctor, receptionists or leave a note in the complaint box in the waiting room. We take concerns, suggestions and complaints and deal with them ASAP.
